XIII Ogólnopolska Konferencja "Rozpraszanie neutronów i metody komplementarne w badaniach faz skondensowanych"
Uprzejmie informujemy, że w dniach 12-15 czerwca 2023 organizujemy kolejną XIII Ogólnopolską Konferencję "Rozpraszanie Neutronów i Metody Komplementarne w Badaniach Fazy Skondensowanej". Konferencja odbędzie się tradycyjnie w Domu Pracy Twórczej „Reymontówka” w Chlewiskach k/Siedlec.
Konferencja jest polskojęzyczna. Proponujemy wystąpienia w kategoriach: wykładów (30 min. + 5 min. na dyskusję) oraz referatów (20 min. + 5 min. na dyskusję). Propozycje wystąpień wraz z jednostronicowymi streszczeniami oraz wskazaniem jednej z dwóch powyższych kategorii, prosimy przesyłać elektronicznie na adres prof. dr hab. Andrzeja Szytuły z Instytutu Fizyki Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego w Krakowie: andrzej.szytula@uj.edu.pl. Organizatorzy zastrzegają sobie prawo zaproponowania Autorom zmiany postulowanej kategorii wystąpienia, gdyby wymagała tego spójność programu i względy czasowe.
Wzorem poprzednich lat staramy się o możliwość opublikowania prac w czasopiśmie Phase Transitions (jeszcze w tym roku). Osoby zainteresowane proszę o przysłanie streszczenia w terminie do 15 maja a tekstu publikacji do 30 maja na adres e-mailowy Prof. Szytuły. Warunkiem jest prezentacja pracy na konferencji.
Zgłoszeń uczestnictwa w konferencji mogą Państwo dokonać za pomocą formularza rejestracyjnego podanego poniżej do 30 maja 2023.

We are pleased to announce that the 8th European Nanomanipulation Workshop will be held in Kraków, Poland, from 15 till 17 May 2023. The Workshop is organized by the Centre for Nanometer-scale Science and Advanced Materials, NANOSAM, of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Sciences, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
This event follows the 1st Workshop in Cascais (Portugal), 2nd in Tartu (Estonia), 3rd in Madrid (Spain), 4th in Kraków (Poland), 5th in Mulhouse (France), 6th in Giessen (Germany), and 7th in Jena (Germany).
The overall focus of the series of the Workshops is to bring together scientists who are active in the field of controlled manipulation of atoms, clusters, and nanoscale objects using scanning probe techniques or other related techniques. This includes basic techniques of manipulation, theoretical description of manipulation processes as well as applications ranging from nano- and mesoscale friction to automatic assembly of nano-objects.
Deadline for the abstracts submission: February 28, 2023.

XI Workshop on Applications of Scanning Probe Microscopy – STM/AFM 2022, Zakopane, 30 November - 4 December 2022
We have a great pleasure to invite you for the XI Workshop on Applications of Scanning Probe Microscopy – STM/AFM 2022 which will be held in Zakopane from Wednesday, November 30 to Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the HYRNY Hotel (http://www.hyrny.pl/). The Workshop is organized by the Centre for Nanometer-scale Science and Advanced Materials, NANOSAM, of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Sciences, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
The main goal of the Workshop series is to gather scientists who are or who would like to be involved in surface science research using Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM). These SPM methods include Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and other related techniques operating in ultra-high vacuum environment and liquid/gas atmospheres. We wish the Workshop to be an interdisciplinary meeting for participants representing different theoretical and experimental disciplines of scientific research.
We cordially invite you to attend the STM/AFM 2022 Workshop in Zakopane. We hope that you will enjoy not only the scientific atmosphere during the conference, but also the charm of Zakopane, the heart of the Polish Tatra Mountains at the beginning of the winter season.

Prof. Ronen Berkovich from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel will stay at our department as a visiting professor for one year from September 2022 to August 2023.
